The Dive Guide course is the first step in your career as a diving professional, and a prerequisite to become an Instructor. This course allows guiding groups of already certified divers in a wide variety of environments and conditions.
The course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to safely and easily manage groups of divers.

Briefings, safety protocols, dive management and organization, communication and leadership techniques, problem identification and solution, are just some of the aspects that the course will cover.
Once certified as an SSI Dive Guide, logged at least 60 dives and completed the SSI Science of Diving specialty, you will receive the certification title of SSI Divemaster.

  • Being an active team member for the duration of the course
  • SSI Dive Guide certification 
  • Training materials, including digital learning materials, physical kits and registration fees

  • SSI Diver Stress & Rescue certification or equivalent
  • SSI Deep Diving, Night & Limited Visibility Diving and Navigation specialties or equivalent OR failing that, proof of experience in diving with said conditions
  • SSI React Right certification or equivalent, not older than two years
  • A minimum of 40 logged dives
  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Hyperbaric medical certificate
  • Professional and personal diving insurance
