I managed to escape the office this morning
and venture out with some of our experienced divers on a wonderful dive on RubiDive I. Under the guidance of DCMR owner Chris, the group of instructors visiting from mainland Spain headed to a fantastic deep wall site named Pechiguera which drops from 20m to depths of 50m+. The visibility was superb and the canyon like vista, simply spectacular. In addition to the usual underwater suspects we were happy to find several large sleepy groupers, a large Angel Shark, and were able to show Black Coral to the divers in a beautiful deep grotto. In a word – WOW!
Dive Boat RubiDive 2 stayed shallow today which meant that Phil could treat his group of divers to 2 long lazy dives the first an old wreck with a nearby cave and the second along a lava tube ridge which has plenty of places to find small shrimp, anemone, lobster, moray eels and a sandy bottom with stingrays and star gazers aplenty!. The photographers in the group snapped some great images and we had smiles all round.
The Tec classroom was also in use today as Master Instructor, Luis joined us for the start of his Tec Deep Instructor Course which began with him getting to grips with some of the theory – Good luck Luis!
Phew! and all of this in a morning
Best Fishes – Blog soon!
